Making a Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on “Checkout” and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept credit card payments. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, and the American Express Card.
All Credit Card processing is handled via PayPal. If you have a PayPal account you may use your PayPal account to complete your transaction. If you don’t have a PayPal account, simply continue and PayPal will request your credit card details and personal information. This information is captured by PayPal and not be us! PayPal will not share your personal information with us. We only obtain and approval or rejection of any transaction.
You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, or first class mail (not recommended). DO NOT mail such sensitive information via E-Mail. Call us!
When a confirmation of your order is received by you, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we execute your order or send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason.
Shipping and Handling
We do not serve any Foreign Destinations!
Freight Charges are for buyer’s account and are not refundable.
If you elect to refuse the delivery and shipment is returned to us (without the issuance of an RMA), any return shipping charges are also for your account. A handling charge of $ 5.00 and a restocking charge of 20% will be assessed on all unauthorized returns.
Our F.O.B. Point is Fort Mill, SC. We can serve the entire South and North Carolina within one day using FedEx Home Delivery Service. If your order includes ‘perishable’ items that should not be exposed to prolonged periods of heat, we suggest that you select FedEx Next Day Air. This is over-night delivery and you will have your package by 10:00 AM in the morning. Blue and Brown Label Deliveries as well as FedEx Ground, will only reach you in the late afternoon.
Our Shopping Cart is ‘automated’ and links directly to the FedEx Rate Tables or USPS Rate Tables. A “Street Address” is required for all shipping destinations if you select FedEx. All shipping charges are automatically calculated and are based upon the weight of the shipment and the Shipping Zone.
FedEx/UPS will not delivery to a Post Office Box. We utilize ‘Address Verification’ with UPS and any incorrect mailing address will be rejected by the UPS shipping system (not by us). The system may apply a default shipping charge of $49.95 if the FedEx/UPS Address Verification System is unable to verify the shipping address you have entered. A UPS Tracking Number will be provided automatically by our Shopping Cart and will be sent to the Email address you provide. Please make certain that you provide a correct E-mail address. You must also be certain that your ‘spam filter’ allows the receipt of E-Mails from email@example.com
Alaska and Hawaii
We will ship to Alaska or Hawaii, via the U.S. Postal Service. USPS Priority Mail is your only option since any shipment via FedEx/UPS is simply too expensive. Ground Service via the US Postal Service would simply take too long and is not an option.
If additional charges for shipping are applicable to your shipment (such as insurance with USPS Priority Mail Service), we will add applicable insurance charges to your order. You must use ‘Payment via Credit Card’ if you elect USPS Priority Mail.
It is your obligation to select the correct shipping method. Your shipping selection will obviously vary depending on the destination and if any ‘perishable’ food items are included in your shipment.
If you would like to obtain the approximate cost of your USPS Priority shipment to Alaska or Hawaii, please http://www.usps.com. We ship from Zip Code 29707 Indian Land, SC or Fort Mill, SC and you can readily determine the approximate cost of shipping.
Remember, all products carry a net weight, but the cost of packing material will increase the weight slightly.
We normally ship your order the day following receipt of your order.
Important: We will not ship ‘heat sensitive’ items on a Thursday or Friday. The shipment would only sit in a Carrier’s Warehouse over the weekend. Such shipment will be made on a Monday following receipt of your order.
UPS RED LABEL SERVICE (next day air) or UPS BLUE LABEL SERVICE (second day air) and we will expedite your shipment. Note: Only UPS Red Label will be delivered by 10:00 AM by UPS. Both Blue Label Service (Second Day Air) and UPS Brown Label Service (Regular Ground) will be delivered after 2:00 PM.
If you are purchasing CHOCOLATES during the summer, Next Day Air is your only option. You have the option of adding an ICE PACK (at optional cost), but remember this will last only about 12-18 hours. We deliver all packages to the carrier around 5:00 PM in the afternoon and NEXT DAY AIR will reach the delivery point by around 10:00 AM the following day.
UPS Red Label Early A.M. Service is not available at all locations. Our shopping cart links to the UPS Rate Tables and UPS determines the type of service available – NOT US!
Christmas Orders/Lay Away/Delayed Shipping
You may specify a shipping date for Christmas Orders! We have encountered frequent problems with the processing of ‘Credit Cards’ Either the number is invalid, or the expiration date or Security Code does not match and such transactions are declined. Seasonal limitation may not enable us to sell the merchandise again, if we are obliged to return your merchandise to stock. To avoid this, we will process and charge your credit card at the time you place the order. There are no exceptions to this policy.
Once we have packed your order, we have essentially identified the goods to your order and the merchandise is yours. If you elect to cancel your “Lay away Order” prior to shipment, the same cancellation fees as shown in our “Shipping and Handling” Section will apply.
We do not backorder! Each item is clearly marked as either ‘In Stock’ and you can add such items to your Shopping Cart, or the item is marked ‘Out of Stock’ and you will be unable to order the item. You may add the item to our “Wish List” and you will be notified once the item is back in stock.
We update our ‘On-line Inventory’ daily. During the update procedure, our shopping cart may inform you that Shopping is suspended’. You will be able to place items into your cart again after a short delay.
If your item is not in stock and you would like to order the item, then please join our mailing list and specify the item and quantity that you would like to order.
Certain merchandise is not ‘Inventory stock’ and you are allowed to place special orders for such items. This type of inventory is clearly marked for your convenience. This includes full cases of coffee that are ‘drop shipped’ for us.
Certain merchandise such as German Lebkuchen or Christmas Stollen are of a seasonal nature. We receive such merchandise only once a year. If such merchandise is marked ‘Out of Stock’, you will not be able to order such merchandise again until the following year.
We will make every effort to contact you if an item is not in stock. Seasonal pressures may prevent us from doing so. Minor substitutions of similar items and values may occur if the value is below $ 10.00. You will receive equal or better value in such instances.

For orders made from within the United States sales tax will be applied to all South Carolina orders. Taxes are determined by the ‘Ship To Address’ and not the ‘Bill To Address’. Our business is located and operates from South Carolina. All other orders with a shipping destination other than South Carolina are currently tax free. ‘
Credit Card Security
Is handle by PayPal. Credit card information is only entered when you reach the “SECURE” site of PayPal. You will note that your web address or URL changes to ‘https://www.paypal.com”.
You will also see a ‘lock’ on the bottom of the screen denoting that you are at a ‘secure site’.

We guarantee your satisfaction. If you by chance received the wrong item, your order was ‘short-shipped’, or the merchandise is damaged in transit, please contact us within 48 hours upon receipt of the shipment. You may contact us in writing by sending your E-Mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If your order is damaged during shipment, please contact us and the carrier immediately. We make every effort in packing your shipment carefully, but occasionally improper handling while the package is in transit can result in damaged merchandise. The carrier may elect to inspect the damaged merchandise.
If shipped via UPS and FEDEX, you may report your damage initially by contacting UPS at (800) 742-5877 and FEDEX at (800) 463-3339. You will need your UPS Tracking Numbe or FEDEX Tracking Numberr. Then contact us by calling (803) 548-0946. We will gladly file the claim against UPS and or FedEx on your behalf. Be certain to retain all shipping material in case the carrier elects to inspect the damaged shipment.
All USPS Priority Mail Shipments carry $ 100.00 in insurance automatically. You may insure higher value shipments.
ALASKA and HAWAII
Only shipment via USPS Priority Mail. Don’t forget buy insurance. The Postal Service now includes $ 100.00 in insurance per shipment. If your order is above this value, please insure against loss or damage, etc. If you don’t insure, any loss or damage is your loss. We cannot recover for you what is not insured by you.

There is no ‘phone tag’ involved and you have a written copy for your records.
This policy is for use when data is used to:

e. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes
Full payment is due prior to shipment of any order.
We retain title to merchandise until fully paid for.
We regret, but ‘Food Items’ cannot be returned to us. No potential customer would want to shop at our site and buy merchandise from us that may have been returned by another customer and possibly have been tampered with.
We feel confident that you understand this policy. This policy is for your protection.
All Erzgebirge Wood products have their own return policy. Normally you may return Ore Mountain (Erzgebirge) products within 30 days upon receipt. We established this policy to ensure your satisfaction with the product purchased from an image. You did not have the opportunity to inspect the item. All original packing material that came with the product must be used to return the product to us.
Should a return shipment be necessary, please obtain an RMA from us prior to returning any merchandise. Any shipment without an RMA will be automatically refused by us.
Shipping charges are not refundable since we incurred the expense. You must return such merchandise PREPAID.
